Selecting a right gantry crane is a multi-factorial decision making process, and here are some key points to help a business or individual make an informed choice: Keep the following in mind to ensure you design the most economical and efficient gantry crane system for your application.

Material Type: The gantry frame has two materials: steel and aluminum, which material would you prefer?

Gantry Design: Will you utilize full gantry, semi-gantry or portable gantry cranes? Will the gantry cranes move on rails, tracks or wheels?

Foot or Motor Traffic: Are there workers or other equipment working near the gantry cranes? Are there any components that require additional protection or special positioning to avoid collision damage?

Indoor/Outdoor: Is the gantry crane inside, outside or both? Special paint systems, materials and components may be required to withstand the environmental conditions of outdoor gantry systems.
